Frame is up!!

“Houston ..we have frame!!” Hehe

Frame went up on the 17/06/2013 , couldn't resist for a quick trip to Oran park to check out the new frames. Such a good feeling, just to step into the bone work of the soon to be house.
So far, SS has been spot on with dates of next stage and kept us up-to-date of how things are tracking with the build.

The windows will be installed today : ) and the bricks had been delivered also. The bricklayers are coming tomorrow to lay the bricks. Wow that is quick, the framing is barely finished that the bricks will be laid the next day. I am not complaining !! : ) )

I am not too sure what is going to happen with this one.

External plumbing / drainage

I went to visit the site today, and few things has changed, there are a lot of dirt piles everywhere across the slab and there are many pipes sticking out of the ground.

The frame is scheduled for the following week. According to my SS, it should take few days to be complete.

Slabbed !!!!!!

Pouring the slab finally happened !!!! YAY !!! it was a very big surprise for us, we didn't expect it to happen that quick. They done the piering and plumbing on the 29th of May and SS told us it should take 1 week for the concrete to settle so it would be next week that the slab would be poured. So I thought I had time to take pictures during the weekend.
So We went to the site on Saturday to take pictures of the piering but when we got there we saw many trucks and around 6 tradies on our land laying the slab. Wow they were working on a Saturday, so obviously I was around the fence taking thousands of pictures and videos : )
1 hour after the tradies left, it started to rain so I was a little bit worried about the slab losing his shape or falling apart. But from my previous researches I saw that rain help the slab to cure and prevent the slab from cracking. I quickly confirmed it with  a tradie that was working on the neighbor's site.
It took 10 days from site cut to slab being laid
